Lutz Children's Museum Tank

Manchester, CT

As part of our charitable contributions to the community CTARS has donated and maintains a mixed reef tank at the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester, CT. CTARS has had this relationship with the Children's museum for many years and we host quite a few meetings at the facility.

Over the years there have been many different tank configurations. The current tank has been setup at the museum since January 2015. The tank is maintained by the Lutz Tank committee who have donated their time to ensure a successful and enjoyable tank for the children.

Lutz Tank Committee:

Jason Clark (Vaiodude)

Dave Gionfriddo (Triggreef)

Neil Siegel (Seagull)

Mike Hollman (Mike in CT)

The system is a 75 Gallon Reef Ready tank with a 40 Gallon Breeder custom sump (Generously donated by suicideissleep - Ron Godin). The Stand was custom made by Jas Roman which was painted by a volunteer for the Lutz.
